Dance events: rider-proof DJ gear, powerful sound and wireless light shows

A dancefloor for 150 to 1,500 people

A dance event needs a sound you can feel, all night long, without it hurting your ears. With an even distribution: not too loud at the front, not thin at the back, and no dead zones the crowd gathers around. And the DJ has to be able to walk in and start playing straight away.

This is why we work with hybrid soundsystems: the directness of a point source system and the throw of a line source. The low end may have a layered approach: with sub and kick each having their own cabinet. A system built so that not only bass and highs travel far, but also the low-mids can be heard at a distance for a complete and full sound.

How the sound needs to behave in a venue is something we discuss with the client. Should the sound be equally loud front to back? Or do you want people to move forward for impact or move to the back and be able to talk? Do you want improved intelligibility in a specific zone, such as the bar or balcony? With our modular systems, one family of speakers can be used in different configurations, depending on the layout of the space and the purpose of the event. We make this happen together with professionals from our network.

The booth in the room

On request, we can move the DJ booth forward, into the room: a forward booth. Behind the DJ a second dance zone is then created, with the crowd all around. The main PA covers the dancefloor up front, while the booth has its own monitoring with subs, which not only serves the DJ for monitoring but also the people dancing around it.
